He's finally arrived, this week is part one of two where Andrew and Diana talk about the new Netflix series Luke Cage, specifically episodes 1-7. Luke Cage may be bulletproof but is this show, are there too many storylines, how do the fight scenes compare to other Netflix series, and is Genghis Connie secretly immortal?

SPOILER WARNING: This episode contains MANY spoilers for episode 1-7 of Luke Cage.

TWO PARTER: This is part one of a two part breakdown, this part covers episodes 1-7. Next week we'll cover episodes 8-13 and the show as a whole.

I really disagree with your critique of the show... I think you are confusing the way the show is more nuanced than its predecessors, out of necessity. The Daredevil formula can't be mimicked as it would be rightly called formulaic, and Jessica Jones already put a twist on the Hells Kitchen-verse... I think this is the strongest and most confident Marvel Netflix show... And I too am only at episode 8. Still like the show guys, but found your critique a bit one dimensional. Here's to critiquing the critics.
